‘Kulturkvelder’ with PARKAS-researchers

Local workshop with the inhabitants of Hardangervidda study area, Nore and Uvdal. Organised in collaboration with the municipality of Nore og Uvdal.
Presentation of our current results after in-depth interviews and fieldwork and discussion with the inhabitants to check the validity of our interpretations.

PARKAS study tour – «International comparative studies: management practices and economic, political and cultural differences», France.
Scientific observation of the management of large conservation areas in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, France.
Participants: PARKAS research group, with representative from VetAgro Sup (PARKAS external research partner in France).
Field work and open discussions with actors from different interest groups (from state and regional level to municipalities), rangers, landowners and entrepreneurs, as well as several researchers at universities.

6-8 November 2018
PARKAS seminar – «The integration of cultural heritage into national park management», Geilo
The seminar addressed public trust in political decision-making processes and management actions in large conservation areas.
Participants: 23 representatives from PARKAS closest partner institutions.
11 oral presentations: 4 lectures from the PARKAS reserach group, 4 lectures from external partners (EU researchers), 3 short presentations from Norwegian partners (regional and local actors, interest group).
