The project will examine the management system for nature conservation areas, with the Hardangervidda and Saltfjellet-Svartisen national parks (and adjacent landscape areas) as case studies. The project is being carried out in collaboration with several Norwegian public and private actors. They are key players in understanding the major challenges that are encountered in nature conservation areas and important partners to design solutions that safeguard nature conservation areas as environmental resources and profit for the society, without compromising local utility interests and conservation values.
